Maroof represents a pioneering national model in the management and monitoring of protected areas, as the first Saudi woman in this field to have achieved this professional milestone.

She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Biology (Resource Management and Conservation) from Swansea University, United Kingdom (2021), and a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from King Abdulaziz University, graduating with academic honors.
