Corrective Initiative for Owners of Wildlife Species

Published Date

The National Center for Wildlife has launched a corrective initiative for the owners of non-native wildlife species (mammals, birds, non-venomous reptiles) to regularize their status according to regulations. This initiative will be effective from July 1, 2023, until July 1, 2024. The center has established various guidelines to regulate the correction period and to guide owners on the optimal way to regularize their status through the “Fatri” platform, using a series of approved procedures.

The center has noted that the correction initiative will not include predatory species, gaseous species, or species listed in the first appendix of the “CITES” agreement. Owners of these species must coordinate with the center through the designated hotline for their delivery, to avoid any legal consequences resulting from their possession. The corrective initiative is being implemented by the center to provide an opportunity for the owners of non-native wildlife species to regularize their status.
